1.3. Creating a DocuSketch Tour (iOS)

This module will teach you all the steps you need to know in creating a DocuSketch Tour.

Assuming you have already created, completed, and synced an inspection from the OnePoint app, here are the steps on how to complete a DocuSketch 360 Tour:

Step 1:
Click on the DocuSketch Blank Tour with the Inspection Title

Note that a blank tour labeled with the inspection name will appear on your DocuSketch app as soon as you sync and complete the Inspection.

Clicking on this navigates you to this page:

Step 2: Click on the on an empty image relative to the room or area you wish to edit.

Clicking this should navigate you to this screen:

Step 3: Ensure that these fields are properly set.

Label the room or area name and categorize it relative to the floor or area they belong to.

Exterior shots can be placed on the "Outside" under the Floor selection.

The camera height is most important as our system uses the Camera Height as basis for the measurements.

Most will also have a ceiling height field which is optional and mainly needed if you are shooting an overly cluttered room.

Step 4:
Click on New Shot.

A pop-up screen should appear at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Take a photo of the room using your 360 camera. You can reshoot if you want by clicking on "Reshoot" or add another photo by clicking on "Add shot".

Step 6: Once you're done with all the changes to your room, click on the back button. Repeat Steps 2-5 until you finish all the rooms you wish to edit.

Step 7: Click on the back button to when done with all the edits to the rooms of your tour.

Step 8: Once you see the "Upload needed" indicator, that means you still need to upload all your changes. To do so, click on the three dots in line with the tour name.

Step 9: Click on Upload. The "Upload needed" indicator will automatically be removed once the upload is successful.

Note:

Currently, there are a few things the user can do while the DocuSketch tour is still locally stored on the mobile device. So long as the tour still has not been uploaded,

the user can:
- import an inspection which creates a blank tour on the DocuSketch app.
- Go back to the inspection and add more comments and areas.
- Invoke export again and the tour will be amended with the updated comments.
- repeat these steps until completed

What users can’t do after the tour is uploaded:
- import the same inspection which creates a blank tour.
- upload this tour
- go back to inspection and add more comments and areas
- invoke export again when there are changes to the inspection comments
Here they will get a message prompt that says “Sorry, tour has already been uploaded and can’t be updated by inspection”.
